Database Security Enhancement System on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
1. Project Overview
This project aims to enhance the security of a database that consolidates manufacturing, sales, maintenance, and loss data. The data is stored on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and managed through a web application.
2. Scope of Work
Develop a secure web application on GCP, storing data in Cloud SQL and GCS.
Monitor network access and detect unauthorized access.
Encrypt and quarantine sensitive data.
Install antivirus software and conduct vulnerability scans.
Implement a Global Defensive Wall, encrypt routes, and manage user IDs.
Restrict user access and message content.
Manage system development and changes.
Establish a logging and data backup system.
Create a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and conduct evaluations.
3. Project Achievements
The project will be deemed successful when the Web Application Security system effectively safeguards database information, ensuring robust protection against unauthorized access and data breaches. It should be capable of detecting and preventing various vulnerabilities, and include a well-defined Service Level Agreement (SLA) and comprehensive user manual.
